The Festival of the New European Bauhaus will take place next June 2022 in Brussels, Belgium. Organised by the European Commission, the first edition of this festival will bring together people from all walks of life to debate and shape a sustainable, inclusive, and beautiful future. Ultimately, it will bring the European Green Deal at the heart of our daily lives.

The Festival of the New European Bauhaus will feature debates, great speakers, artistic performances, exhibitions, and networking opportunities around its main themes: beauty, sustainability, and inclusiveness. The festival aims to promote a positive movement where youth can play a key role in building confidence in the future by sharing a ‘vision of the possible’.

For the European Creative Business Network (ECBN) it will be a great opportunity to build connections with individuals and to promote the interests of the European cultural creative industries and its diversity, bridging the worlds of research, science and technology, to those of education and civil engagement, and of art, culture and architecture. It would be a great opportunity for the further development of this creative and interdisciplinary initiative that is the New European Bauhaus (NEB), and an inspiring way to create a meeting space to design future ways of living, situated at the crossroads between art, culture, social inclusion, science and technology.

It is exciting to see that the European cultural creative industries are given more and more space to contribute to the transformation towards a more beautiful, sustainable and inclusive future through initiatives like the Festival of the New European Bauhaus. From the ECBN, we are convinced of our members’ and extended community innovative role in this transformation process, and encourage them to play an active role in the NEB Festival

Bernd Fesel, European Creative Business Network (ECBN) managing director
