Every year, ECBN in partnership with the Dutch Creative Residency Network has the privilege of guiding a group of Cultural and creative individuals and organisations from across Europe through the Creative Industries of a European city. Our Study Tours have become one of our most anticipated and successful member services, combining networking, actualisation and knowledge exchange in an exciting, elaborate, cultural and creatively enriched package.
Copenhagen and Malmö
In 2016 we were fortunate to visit not one, but two of Europes most interesting and rapidly developing creative economies, Copenhagen and Malmö.
STPLN in Malmö
Following our previous Study Tours to Berlin (2013), London (2014) and Madrid (2015), our trip to Copenhagen and Malmö aimed to give participants the opportunity to visit creative centres across the two cities while exchanging knowledge, best practices and experiencing how the Creative Industries shapes both cities. As with our previous tours, the occasion of our visits to creative centres presented the opportunity for participants to increase their network and explore potential collaborations with our hosts in the two cities.
Our programme for Copenhagen and Malmö was packed with visits to five creative centres in both cities as well as a guided tour of the rapidly developing Western Harbour in Malmö and the historic free-town of Christiania in Copenhagen.

KPH is a community for innovative startups and small growing businesses.
KPH offers support for an easier start for start-ups; a system of shared competencies to ensure that knowledge flows freely between members.

With respect and care for the differences of one another. And room for change and curiosity.
Foundershouse
Foundershouse Copenhagen
Founders House is a shared invitation-only workspace for ambitious technology startups and experienced tech entrepreneurs.
Started in 2011 a lot has happened since then. Foundershouse has housed many ambitious startups that have grown to become successful or acquired by larger companies, hosted several events featuring international founders and investors, thrown a considerable number of legendary parties, made it to the international press, and in 2014 relocated to Njalsgade in Islands Brygge to help build something even bigger, Startup Village.
STPLN
STLPN Malmö
STPLN is a unique meeting point, a Maker’s Space and an incubator for creative projects at the border between the commercial, public and non-profit.
The incubator and knowledge breaker
We enable, support and cross-fertilize creative initiatives and projects. The ideas that are able to grow and develop in STPLN all have a creative potential and are likely in the fields of culture, technology, design, education or craft. In addition to the practical infrastructure they get both a secure organizational setting and access to knowledge in project management, economics, finance and extensive creative know-how. Reproduce and Bicycle kitchen are two activities that have evolved with us.
The place
Here at STPLN are laser cutters, 3D printers, the carpentry, a textile workshop, creative rooms, exhibition facilities and a free Drop In office that anyone can use to develop an idea, a talent or a project. To inspire and empower people to learn something new organizes activities a large amount of workshops and courses on different topics and at different levels.
