The campaign #culture2030goal has released a Statement on Culture and the COVID-19 pandemic. The #culture2030goal campaign is formed by global cultural networks united to advocate for the role of culture in sustainable development. The campaign welcomes endorsements of the Statement, and calls on the culture community to come together to advocate collectively for the role of culture at the United Nations.

Its official launch will take place on 21 May 2020, the World Day for Cultural Diversity for Dialogue and Development. The date illustrates the commitment of the campaign to the achievement of the 2030 Agenda and the need to ensure that culture is at the heart of the UN Decade of Action for the Sustainable Development Goals.
