Bernd Fesel, managing director of the European Creative Business Network (ECBN), will take part in the symposium next week on “Heritage for the Future, Science for Heritage: A European Adventure for Research and Innovation”, organised by the Foundation for Heritage Science under the French Presidency of the Council of the European Union. 

The event will be held from Tuesday, March 15th to Wednesday, March 16th physically at the Louvre Museum and the National Library of France in Paris, France, and remotely by registering through the following link: https://events.wisembly.com/cjcomregisteren

During these two days, the symposium will highlight heritage science, in all its diversity, in France and in Europe, consider its central role in responding to the major contemporary challenges – whether social, cultural, economic, political or environmental – as well as its articulation with various initiatives carried out by the European institutions. 

Bernd Fesel will be participating during the Plenary Session 4 on Wednesday at the Auditorium of the National Library of France together with three experts, Elisabetta Airaghi (KEA European Affairs), Barbara Gessler (Creative Europe) and Maria Kayamanidou (European Commission Unit ‘Fair Societies and Cultural Heritage’). This session will be devoted to Cultural and Creative Industries, A New Field of Application for Heritage Science

This event is organised with the support of the European Commission and in partnership with the French Ministry of Culture, the French National Centre for Scientific Research (CNRS) and the universities of Paris-Saclay and Cergy Paris.
